My IS12 Depth instrument is intermittently showing the depth and then stops and shows three dashes - - - I don’t think it’s the instrument head itself but possibly the transducer. For those who have had the transducer fail, was it initially an intermittent fault? Any guidance on this would be appreciated before I start to take the boat apart.

I had that problem too. The problem was small cracks at the connectors in the instrument. The transducer was fine.

Thanks, that’s very interesting. I presume that the cracks were where the connectors are soldered to the pub, or was it the pic itself?
