Hi!
Has anyone added a paralell grab rail in front of the sprayhood after the boat was delivered? I'm planning to add one but cant find anyone who sells them separately as DIY-kit.

The rail on the picture looks more like something you use to keep people in the boat or in the cockpit Tongue Are you sure thats the best fitting ?

Serious, is that a modell that you clamp over the existing canvas of the sprayhood or do you have to cut a hole in it?

Is this what you are looking for ?
I ordered this with the sprayhood but the manufacturer forgot it and ended in bankrupcy after delivering the sprayhood structure. I had it added by an other crafstman : not esthetically perfect but efficient.

Yes, thats what I'm looking for and preferably with some kind of fittings where I dont have to cut the canvas and resew it.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those companies and check what they can offer.

@ligeia: The fittings you have, are they plastic? So far they sem to be the most nicest fittings I have seen so far. Also the most safe for bare hands. Others have nuts and bolts all over the fitting whick feels little bit hazardous.

MarcoC, actually these fittings are on strong plastic, and you can adjust the angle with the sprayhood. Very strong, even stronger than the sprayhood itself, I think : if something is broken in heavy weather with a big shake, it won't be this part.
