In my 370, as well as most of the other models, the trottle is located in a position that makes it difficult to manoeuvre in narrow waters. Would like to move it to the steering wheel pedestal but find it difficult to find routing for the wire cables.Have anyone found a solution to this? A servomotor or activator moving the existing handle?

I changed to the JEFA 400 pedestal. Installation is easy.
Unfortunetely I have no pictures, but You can look at the JEFA webside, go to steering and then to products. |

I have the 370 as welll and do move the trotle with my foot whyle steering
Wenn the trotle is on the steering pedestral you have to put you arm throug the spokes from the steering wheel , because it is to big to move over .
Then you can not steer and move the trotlle at the same time.

I too use my foot to control the throttle - felt strange to begin with but soon got used to it. After all, we do the same in our cars!

I also practise the footoperation, but find it very inconvenient in harbour/docking situations with heavy traffic. The handle is designed for handoperation, maybe a new design for footoperation could be the answer? |

To MasterKeil.
Do you have a 370?
Did you have any problems in finding the way from the engine to the trottleposition? Edited by Maake - 08 March 2011 at 20:41 |

After 2 seasons of using my right foot to controll the throttle I'm "handy" as a monkey. But, my wife who is much shorter than me has problems to use the throttle with her feet same time as she tries to see where the front is. She has to stand on the back end benches. Is there no other solution to move the throttle to than the side of the steering column?
Is there no electronical device that can be added? A remote controlled servo?

To Maake,
yes I have an 370. I used a new RCS throttle cable, which is a lot more flexible than the original one. The way is through the starbord cockpit seat locker (In the upper-middle edge. I hope I can provide you pictures next week. Master Keil |
