Because Deisel is now geting more expensive in UK, I have had to adapt my 301 to make it cheaper to run, as it is well know that in Wales we either have far too much wind or none at all.
 
Here is the oar in action.......

I think that looks great. Another advantage with having a smaller boat, too.

I often wonder if people feel ashamed if they not motoring when there is too little wind? As if others would laugh at them because they are slow and this would be a sign of weakness? In today's hectic society the slow people may be loosers, but when you are sailing? I usually sail even when there is little (or no) wind and I look at all these great sail boats motoring by and think it is a shame. I wonder what they think about me.

Sometimes oars would come in handy for me too.
