I will really recommend to take your Hanses over the Atlantic.
This year we had perfect conditions on the crossing, with lots of downwind except from the 3 last days with no or less wind.
Luckily I bought some twin jibs from Watson Sails in Dublin (Phillip Watson is a Hanse detaljer) and the conditions was perfect for using them. With 2 spreaders and two identical sails on the same furl I had an easy job sailing up to 189 nm within 24 hours (and yes; the 370 was REALLY heavy loaded with 6 persons, food, water and equipment!)
We used 18 days to do the crossing.

Now we are in paradise; (mostly) sunny and 27 degrees celsius in the water.
Really something to look forward to, Henrik!

I have been cleaning out the cellar storage in my house and found and old chart that I would be willing to lend to anyone who is planning to make the hop across the pond.
