Hello,
This winter I would like to install a new stereo with speakers in cabin and cockpit , also a TV that can play dvd through said speakers with the option to plug in computer to TV.
That is the vague idea of what I want.
Also need to be able to ipod and other gizmoes into stereo and I would like speakers in cockpit that last more than one season.
If this can all be supplied with a myhanse logo so much the better.
Any ideas of a good system appreciated.
Simon

Here's some pictures of my speakers & TV set http://www.myhanse.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=5493&title=early-experience-355004-some-improvements.

Bose Acoustimass 3 system works really great.  I'm not so satisfied with the Bose 131 cockpit speakers.

Brufan, how does it work with "home speakers" in a yacht saloon?
Thinking about the homidity and the impact over the years.

What is your view on the location of the speakers, high or low location?
One of our Hanse friends ("Bob, 371-#235") do strongly recommend low location of the speaker in boats.

My interest is related to installing a stereo system this winter and I want to get great sound with one pair of speakers (maybe treble/mid + bas speaker system mounted high resp. low)
Cheers,

If you you have a close look to pictures the sub bass box lays on the floor (with velcro).  The high - treble white "bose cube" are just above the shelves.  The system is a very good compromise between space & quality.  The "bass box" is at the same level with the seats.  With a simple pillow it turns in an extra saloon seat (for children).

About home appliance in marine environement : no problem since the front part of saloon is a quite dry place.  You don't need any "marine grade" label for this location.  The Samsung TV set is also from "home" series.
