Since a folding cockpit table costs from 300-400 euros I have decided to install my own.
Costs were 70euros for the wood (that made 2 tables), 30euros for the brackets, 20euros for the hinges, 40euros for the carpenter. Total 160euros and a spare table. Here is how it turned out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very nice and very well done. I purchased the standard table and am very unhappy. The molding around the edge keeps coming out and the latching hardware broke my first season out. I am waiting for some spare time to do the same as yours. Really looks great.

I found the brackets at a local chandlery in Athens Greece. I think they work with LALIZAS so maybe its from this catalog. I will know how sturdy they are after some time but so far so good.

@ Paul - Nilandhoo
Regarding the brackets, take a look here: http://www.rocaindustry.com/marine/Cat/Support/177/ I think ROCA has representatives in most countries. In the UK http://www.bainbridgemarine.co.uk/Item.aspx?Item=PRD-000471&PartNo=Q004268 Edited by PRCH - 21 June 2012 at 19:39 |

Johnyred,
I was going to make my own table and bought four pieces of teak 900x200x20mm. Unfortunately the teak "bends" doesn't stay straight and I can not use this material for my table. What kind of wood did you use for your table? Could be that our different climate influences teak differently?!?! Regards Morgan

Hi Morgan,
I dont think that a 20mm thick teak plank would bend. Teak is one of the hardest woods. Are you sure you have bought real teak? Also 900mm is too long. 700mm is the longest you can use in order not to interfere, with the cockpit when closed and the handrails when open and unfolding the two half's. Regards |

Excuse my ignorance (just started looking at Hanse 325 - looks great), but where is the main sheet gone?
Will you need an upright at the end of the table - looks like one could be added easily if you wanted. Thanks
