Today on my H411 I have a 15 Kg Spade anchor (similar as Delta) + 60 mt chain 10 mm diameter.
I'm not very happy with this, the weight is too high.
My idea was to change with a 20 Kg Delta anchor + 60 mt 8 mm chain, or 30 mt 10 mm chain + 30 mt nylon rope.
What do you have on your boat?

Hi,
I have a 16kg Delta, and 60 metres of 8mm chain.
I initially asked to a have a 20kg Delta, but was told that this won't fit on the bow roller as designed for 16kg. I also queried about having chain+line but hanse didn't recommend as if you need to weigh anchor quickly it will be difficult to switch from line to anchor while using a windlass.
i kept to 60meters which for the UK friends might seem quite a length but for us in the Med, it's a minimum. i agree more chain will load too much weight in the bow, that is why Hanse France put 60metres.
hope this helps you,

I'm not sure how similar the 411 and 400 bow rollers are, but I did put an oversized delta anchor on my 400 and found out that it didn't fit the roller but I was able to fix it.
The standard anchor for the 400 is a 16 kg delta but I substituted a 20 kg delta. There were two problems with fitting the larger anchor.
Firstly, there is a pin on the bow roller that is meant to secure the anchor by passing through a hole in the shank of the anchor. The pin doesn't line up with the hole on the larger anchor. I found that the roller was notched at the center and the notch was slightly more narrow than the shank of the anchor. When I widened the notch slightly (by cutting the plastic roller with a knife) the anchor fit inside the slot and this 10mm or so difference was enough to line up the pin with the hole.
Secondly, the anchor locker lid interfered slightly with the shank of the anchor so the lid wouldn't close completely. I ground a small amount of fibreglass off the underside of the anchor locker (just at the point where the shank enters the locker) to provide 5 to 10mm more clearance and now the locker lid closes completely.
Again, I don't know if the same will apply to your 411 but it may be worth checking.
