LThe 371 has a cabin table which can not be fold.
Therefore it always takes a lot of space. I am planning to re-use the table support and get more floor space. The new table top has to look like the woodwork and finish from the Hanse yard. So I bought some mahogany and fineer. Now the woodshop at home is open After sawing and glorius sanding it is almost ready to transport it to the furniture paint specialist.I hope that all the work will give us the result we hope for. Anyone done some high gloss woodwork? Keep you posted! ![]() Edited by Koppiekrou - 23 February 2020 at 10:41 |

Now it is all up to color matching...
First stage is to get the right stain. With this we can give the mahogany the typical red color the interior of the Hanse 371. Therefore I asked a paintfactory for help. They can measure the original color. So I will get 1 ltr of matched color stain. After we have matched this stain color we can start with adding clearcoat. Probally 3 to 6 layers... with a whole lot of glorius sanding in between 🤬 This will take 3 weeks so for the final result you all have to wait.... Frank

Wow! I am looking forward to see the end result.
The cabin table on my boat needs some work on it too. I will follow this thread with great interest. Johan |

Bernstein that looks good. How did you make the logo. Is it vinyl (signing and wrap material) or did you printed it?

Hallo Frank,
These are wooden inlays made from ash-tree. New veneer was glued onto the old table top. Greetings from baltic sea Bernstein |
