Our Hanse 320 is one of the latest which has been produced.
We have got some good improvements (Lewmar Windows, LED Pos. Lights), but the yard has realized some savings with the boat. We are lacking the second gas bottle locker at the aft. Also the angled piece of the settee at the front bulkhead is missing. We only got the angled piece at the chart table aft. Can someone who has got the earlier version of the settee provide some photographs and dimensions of the settee part to the front bulkhead? We are aiming to add this part and to order new upholstery for our boat. Thanks in advance Jan ![]() Edited by Janni - 15 October 2021 at 07:19 |

Hi Jan,
I can send you some pictures but I need a few weeks. I removed both pieces from the ship this year because I need more space instead of storage capacity. I will give you the exact dimensions as well. Best regards Karoly

Hi,
this is my installation. Underneath the small cushion I have a locker with folding cover. If you need more precise measurements just tell me.

The sketch is not accurate, it gives slightly wrong
impression of the interior dimensions. The storage room you are interested is so
small I would not bother to add it. For us, however, it is an essential part to
keep our cat’s litterbox secured. Here are some pictures of the reality. ![]() ![]() |

@merinalle, @ctpgood: Thanks, this looks really great.
We are not looking for the storage space, but rather for a better sitting position on the settee. The bench is small in terms of the sitting space. If you could get exact dimensions, it would be more than helpful to me. I am attempting to order the woodwork from someone who can do it better than me. We will order new upholstery for the settee in the salon this winter. It should fit to the lengthened bench... Jan

The sitting space is obvious limited by the bulkhead opening for the door and the table.
the exact measures are: Settee angle to door frame : 69 cm The locker is not perfectly rectangular: Locker longitudinal length: 58 cm (port side) 60 cm stbd side Locker lateral length: 17 forward side (bulkhead) - 21 aft side Edited by cptgood - 23 October 2021 at 17:30 |

Janni, If the purpose is just to get temporarily(?) more sitting room around the table, here is an idea you may consider. I visited our empty yacht today, and set the cover plate of the battery compartment across the benches. See picture:
Surprisingly to me, there seems to be enough sitting room between the table, and the bulkhead. Of course, it is not convenient to enter those places when the folding part of the table is opened. Furthermore, you have to store approximately 1 metre long sheet of plywood, when the extra seats are not in use. In the other hand, designing a system how to secure the plywood to the benches, and new upholstery to the plywood, should not be difficult. This is just an idea, personally I have never thought that we need more sitting places. |

Dear Hanse 320 owners,
you are marvelous. We intend to have a permanent solution, for better seating in the Salon in the evening, after dinner, with the back to bulkhead, the legs up on the settee and with a glas of wine and a good book. Thanks for the efforts for the photos and the dimension taken. Fingers crossed that we get it done... Jan
