Hi
Has anyone compiled a list of replacement nodes for the 460?
Saildrive, bowthruster and prop are straightforward.
Is there a part number for the hull?
Any others I may be missing?
Also zinc vs aluminum- for Caribbean what would you suggest.
Thanks

Anodes are just replaced on my 460 today 😀
I‘ve ordered these ones:
- Saildrive
- Prop
- Hull

Hanse said there are no other anodes on the boat. But the shipyard will check the bowthruster for anodes.

If you have a bow thruster, there might be some more. I have a 458 and it has a Quick thruster. There are 4 zincs on it - two small cones on each side of the prop and two small rectangular ones that go on the door that look kind of like tire balancing weights.

Hopefully I will know about the bowthruster this week.

There are also some ACs an engines having their own anodes. But Hanse said Hull, Prop and Saildrive are the only ones. We will see...

I forgot about the air conditioner anode. It’s a pencil type that fits into the distribution manifold for the seawater cooling pump. Not sure if the 460 has the same setup for AC.

Although it looks pretty similar on the 460 I can't see/access where the anode might be on the manifold. Does anyone else have knowledge of its location?

If you are referring to the manifold in the picture above, the anode is at the top of the manifold (the end closest to the pump). You can only see the brass (bronze?) hex head of the anode where it is screwed into the manifold on the end.

On mine it's at the far end of the manifold- way from the pump and completely inaccessible. I can just reach it with my arm outstretched but there's no way to replace it without dismantling lots of stuff around it. Crazy. Does anyone have knowledge on the approximate life of these anodes?

I realize that your boat may be a different layout. On mine, I do have to remove the cabin sole above the manifold. It is not accessible from the small access panels. For me, this sole is only secured at one corner by one screw at the forward port corner. The aft end slides under the companionway steps. Once removed, all of that plumbing is easily accessed.
The first anode that I replaced disintegrated when I tried to remove it after about 2 years. The one in the picture above was also about two years old - intact but wearing out.
