Just been down to the boat for the first time since she was lifted from the water for the winter.  Last time the boat was out the water was 2 years ago. Since then she has either been on her swinging mooring or in the local marina over winter (I had been hoping to sail last winter but the weather was rubbish).
 
When I saw her today I was amazed that there was virtually no fouling on her.  Yes the hull had been pressure washed, but where the strops had been you could see the extent of fouling.  Coppercoat quite clearly has done the business!  Around the waterline is a mess, but that is above the Coppercoat.  There were a few barnacles on the saildrive and prop, but nothing extream - and they has not been Coppercoated or had any antifoul on them!
 
Even the saildrive anode has no significant decay despite being on for 3 years now.
 
As to the rest of the boat... I think I was lucky that there was no frost damage from the cold before Christmas.  The sea had actually frozen in the harbour so it was clearly cold down there. And no sign of mould or dampness.
 
A little work to do before putting her back in the water.  Am I lucky?  Or just benefiting from a good boat in a good position?

How much Coppercoat did you put on the boat? Which primer did you used before applying coppercoat? What do you have on the rudderstock and the saildrive?

I'm also thinking of applying coppercoat on my boat as well.

I had it done by the UK dealer as part of commissioning so I can't comment on the amount or application.  That said where is has chipped (only a couple of very small places and possibly by over zealous pressure washing) it looks like about 0.2mm thick, but I'm not a good judge of that really!
 
The stock between the blade and the bush on the hull currently has nothing on it but I am considering an appropriate antifoul paint as a few small barnacles have grown in this area.  The saildrive is in a similar position although I did use some old self eroding antifoul 2 years ago which has long gone.  I think I'll put some proper stuff on it and look for a good solution for the prop to see if I can keep that totally free this year.
 
Interestingly most of the big barnacles were on the rubber flap at the to of the saildrive.

What brand of coppercoat did you use? Is it hard core stuff for the UK or is it some kind of ecological stuff we need to use ont he east coast of sweden?

Coppercoat is allowed for sale in Norway, so I'm pretty sure its accepted in Sweden as well. Wink

I have been using Coppercoat since May 2007, when my 370 was new.
I am pretty sure I used 7 litres, as 6 litres was too little according to the calculations. Anyway, after 2 seasons (boat in the water all year) I could see the hull color through the Coppercoat in some areas. After 3 years it had  increased some more, but I did not consider that as a problem (no extra creatures growing). I will contact the dealer before lifting the boat in May, to check how this stuff can be attached on the existing one (suppose I must rub it, as I did before attaching it to the epoxy hull. No priming!)
The Coppercoat must be attached when "tack-free" in dry environment over 8 degr Celcius (making it a 24-hours job when using 4-5 layers).

Regarding the antifouling effect, I must say I'm quite satisfied.
That said it seems that the local environment makes a big difference.
Anyway, by using a professional high pressure washer for 20 minutes I'm done with the dirty job for a year.

Yes it is a copper containing epoxy coating.  The sales pitch says a 10 year life and it is certainly near perfect after 3 years.
