Hi, I am a new owner to a 12 yr old 545. When starting the Fresh water pump, fresh water is discharged/pumped out from an outlet on the bow, port side. Suspect a valve is open (?) but havent found any (yet). Anyone encountered this and have any solution? Many thanks

Sound like a fresh water inlet has been installed for dockside water supply and pressure. It would need to be shut off when using the onboard tank and pump.  You need to find the shut off valve or cap the inlet.

Many thanks to both! Outlet is a hole on port side bow. Can`t access the inside part. Can send photos in a couple of weeks time. I`ll have to search after a shut-off valve. Any input of where to find would me most appreciated.

Normally there’s no fresh pressure water in de bow of the 545 only in the version with the crew kabine in the front for the sink and if there’s a deckwash pump it’s normally uses seawater. If the former owner didn’t change this? There’s a outlet in the bow for the outlet of the sink with a valve.
If there’s something wrong with the deckwashpump (broken connection?)the pump keeps running and water get in the anchor locker and there’s a outlet on the portsite to evacuate this.
There’s also a outlet from the flush mounted  hatch of the crewkabine to the anchor locker to evacuate water from beside the hatch.
In our boat the AC outlet for the front master kabine with valve is also in the front compartment but I don’t know this is standard. I did the AC and deckwash pump by myself not by Hanse.
There’s a other outlet on the SB side to evacuate gas out the gasbottle compartment when necessary.
I have no further notice of any “hole” in the bow

Hi - it was the deckwashvalve that wasn’t closed properly, and the water exited from the anchorlocker from the outlet. Thanks for the tip!
