Hi All,

Probably an old question but new to me.

My fuel gauge has given up the ghost on My Hanse 350. It shows red all the time!

Now whilst I keep an hours run and fuel added record it is also a useful tool in the 'belt braces and piece of string' arsenal.

I can't find a tech spec for the unit in the tank to enable me to get a new one.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in Anticipation

Andy

I would strongly recommend replacing the sender unit with a BEP TS1 sender unit which uses sonar pings to measure the volume of the tank not a float.

Because our tanks are irregular shapes the float type sender units dont accurately reflect the real tank volumes.

If you provide the retailer of the TS1 sender unit with a drawing of your tank (available from Hanse) they pre-program the sender specifically for your tank shape.

The TS1 has 3 wires, positive, negative and signal, i simply took a power feed from close the engine bay to power the unit and wound the 2 signal wires together to make one and used this as the signal wire back to my panel. I fitted a BEP 600 DCSM monitor which measures my batteries and fuel and i have done the same with my water tank so both fuel and water are measured in liters and percentage full very accurately.

These really are awesome units and not to expensive.
