I notice that Hanse does not provide any clutch or stopper for the Furlex line.
What kind of solution do you use to stop or tie the furling line ?
I think I will put a new double clutch (one for Furlex line, one for gennaker tack line) and a double block just behind.

Any idea ? If someone has some photo's It will help.

Many thanks

Best regards.

I installed two single Antal clutches. One each side for the furlex line as well as the tack line. Didn't have sufficient space on my 320 to install double clutch so ended up with singles on each side. Have blocks aft in order to lead the lines back to winch.

We use a cleat attached to the push pit. No drilling, no holes Big%20smile

Any images to share how the rope/line is routed along the side to the cleat?
Cheers,

A block with cam cleat tied to the pushpit also involves no holes - has a cord going forward to the first staunchion to hold it off the deck when not tensioned.

I have found the attached solution to work quite nicely, i.e. a fiddle block attached to the toerail and supported by a rubber strap. I would have used the pushpit for mounting but I have the gennaker blocks there already. This mounting also brings the block quite close to the winch. The trick here is to find the right toerail mounting, mine is from Wendel&Rados in Greifswald (purchased at the suggestion of my broker as apparently these are not available in Finland).

If you need to reef a sail with your furlex than a block with a cleat will not hold the loads. Therefore you need a clutch!

The toerial clamp is from Pfeiffer Marine and I can recommend that you tell your Hanse friends in finland that you can get them from www.hrmarine.se and if you tell Henrik, the owner that you are a Hanse owner you probably get a good discount.

I agree with Iemand. I think a single block and cleat wont hold the load of a part rolled jib in strong winds.
The wonderful Pfeiffer toerail clamp holds only 125 kg...
I think it won't be enough to hold the same part rolled jib in strong winds.
But me be I'm to pessimistic.

But... to set a clucth there you need to remove the inner liner (wodden part I believe) in the aft cabin ceiling. A hard job indeed as everything are glued with Sikaflex there.
Any advice to do so is welcome !

Regards
Bruno

How much can the load be ?

Maybe it is possible to drill through the upper part of the deck and to remove the distance mtrl (balsa) from above using an Allen wrench on a drillmachine, fill the space with epoxy with strong filler and drill again for screws. Would that be strong enough to mount a rope clutch?

A second thought, is the deck close and under the rail bar made of single layer of GRP?! Then it might be okej to use screws from above through the GRP????

Another alternative is the Spinlock BSR 50 which could be strong enough to hold the control line when the jib is reefed, thinking of connect it to the eye on the aft pulpit? http://www.spinlock.co.uk/en/organisers/brs-range/mobile-high-efficiency-block-with-locking-cam-2
Rope Range 6mm - 10mm 1/4" - 3/8"
Load 0kg - 800kg 1760lb - 1760lb
Max SWL 800kg 1760lb
Weight 0.2kg

Safe Cam Load 160kg

There is also a stronger Spinlock alternative called BSR 63
