Hi all

A few days ago I signed the contract for a 505. I’m now entering the deadly long waiting phase that will last until the delivery next spring.

Until then I will do some thinking about I should fit the boat to our needs. My first question is if any of you have some input on how I should furnish the large sail locker in the bow. I’m looking for suggestions on how I should use the locker in a structured way with shelves, hooks and others to avoid turning the locker to a chaos.

My main uses will be for storing

  •         Gennaker
  •         Outboard for the dinghy
  •         Ropes
  •         Fenders
  •         Big and small stuff for use on trips like grill, beach equipment and it’s like

Any ideas or suggestions? Pictures? Sketches?

Best regards from Bjarne

I have had my 505 for a few weeks now and your list of uses is about all you could fit. Yes it is large , but you also need to get in and out of the locker with all your listed items.

I have a Weber Q100 grill mounted on the stern using the bathing platform ladder holes ( when up) to hold a frame. Will send a pic next week. Then it stores in the lazarette.

I also have some rarther disappointing new about the Hanse head office in Greifswald handle warranty issues with their products. I am moored here at the Hanse Marina in Greifswald to have some minor issues attended to and they are not at all helpful. See email below.
They say its not their fault even though the build the yachts. So good luck.
