I am trying to ship my Hanse 548 and they are asking me for different measures that I cannot find anywhere for below the Water line. Does anyone know where to find a drawing with all the measurements? ![]() |

I don’t think that type of drawing exists out there. Hanse would need to dig into the original CAD files to get those measurements. However, they do have accurate line drawings of the hull. You can derive your own accurate measurements from those PDF documents using Adobe. I’ve had to do the same for my 588 in the past with very good results.

If you are shipping your boat, be careful with the dimensions but especially with the weight. If you use the specs from Hanse, you will likely be light by quite a bit. On my prior boat, I used the specs from the factory, which were before things like a generator, air conditioning, extra batteries, fuel for the tanks, or "stuff" was added. I ended up getting stopped at a weigh station in oregon (coming from Seattle to RI cross country) and having a 4 day delay to pull new paperwork. Use the weight in the straps when they haul it. You can ask the operator to read it off to you. FWIW Edited by Black Diamond - 20 January 2025 at 19:46 |

Actually Rick, Sevenstar is an ocean shipping outfit. Here are the mearurements form the Hanse 458 drawing. I included both shallow and deep keel numbers:
A- 13.55m B- 4.38m C- 1.82 m (shallow) or 2.23 m (deep) D- 22.42 m (shallow) or 22.83 m (deep) E- 7.16 m F- 1.47 m (shallow) or 1.88 m (deep) G- 3.90 m H- 9.30 m L- 5.40 m M- 2.30 m

Talking about ocean shipment, I did shipped my Hanse 458 with Sevenstar. The contract indeed asks a lot of questions because its designed for any type of boat. Sevenstar however knows production boats measurements such as Hanse very well, they can pull up the data for your boat from their database. However keep in mind this is NOT bill of lading type of shipment; Sevenstar will not be responsible for anything, but provides all risks insurance.
