I'm looking for the recommendations for the best placement of the travel-lift straps (under the hull) for haul-outs and launching my 315. I'd prefer Hanse recommendations if they are available. I looked in the Hanse Owners manual but did not see anything. Thanks in advance

Your boatyard folk will know it best since they are doing this all the time on all kinds of boats. The rear strap usually goes right under the engine; the exact placement of the front strap doesnt really matter but make sure they dont cover the paddle wheel which will eventually break all its teeths.

I forgot to mention that this boat has a sail-drive. I did not want the slings to go under the sail-drive so I had them go between the sail-drive and the rudder. The boat was hauled and it all went fine and BTW... it was the boatyard crew was asking me where to put the slings. And they gave me some decals to put on the hull to show where to put the slings next time.

My boatyard places the rear straps before the saildrive, which is right under the engine. However, they also offered me once to put them between the saildrive and the rudder. I think both ways are ok but yes, placing some marks is a good thing
especially if you are not around when they are doing it. I try to be always with my boat during haulouts, and the front straps go right where the water discharge outlet is located, that is my mark. At the rear, it is the first step down to the saloon. My boat sits on the hard most of the time I am not sailing, therefore I do these haul outs and launches at least 3 times a year.
