Our 371 (2005) still has the factory-original plastic & rubber rubbing strake installed. Unfortuneately, we have managed to damaged a section of the plastic 'holding' profile during a somewhat hardhanded berthing operation Unhappy

A few years ago Boatoon still had the original profiles on sale, but unfortunately no more.

Has anyone replaced the full length of the rubbing strake? If so, what did you use as a replacement?

Also - is the profile bolted through the hull or just screwed and glued from the outside?

Any info is welcome!

The Hanse 371rubbing strake was made by Tessilmare (https://www.tessilmare.com). The Hanse original has been replaced by 'Radial'.

The biggest thing is getting the old ones out & cleaning the attachment ... but that's what boat insurances are for.

From Tessilmare's representative some five years ago:

"RADIAL has the lip which normally covers the gap between deck and hull, while BINO has a flat base.

The installation is easy and fast in both cases, they could be installed even without pre-heating.

I also send you the link to our Youtube Channel, where you can find some related videos : https://www.youtube.com/user/tessilmare/videos"
