Caulking between floor & toilet space

   Due to flexing of the flooring on our 2005-built 371 the caulking towards the toilet/shower space has detached - see picture. It looks ugly and I want to do something about it, but I don't think just recaulking will solve the problem. Standing next to the toilet door the flooring really flexes and the gap opens more than a couple of mm.
Has anyone made modifications to this detail, such as reinforcing the flooring or adding some other form of support to prevent excessive movement of the wooden floor?
