Because of our split back stay I went with two riding sails.  Each one about 12 square feet.  Hank on the backstays and we use the main halyard to hoist. We have a solar arch on the stern and secure the clew to this.  Works well.  Presently we only have two hanks on the luff and may add two more per sail.  During the last blow the riding sails reduced our side to side motion about 50%
