That's a great suggestion re: the best way to remove - and install - battens! I'll definitely do this. I had some wind on Sunday which wasn't helpful.... Next up is to lubricate the bearings. I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCJDcl7n9iQ. It's for a non-electric furler (mine is electric). I'm not too keen on heights and I suspect that the top bearing has never been lubricated since the boat was new 10 years ago. So time to get a rigger in I guess. Best wishes Richard |
