Only now I have the oportunity to share the impressions of our test sail after the Barcelona boat show: the 630e sails like a rocket. This boat is the biggest one that I have sailed, but if you close the eyes there is no diference between the way the 630e handles comparing with the rest of the Hanse models. It sails very well and smooth under engine. The wind was about 8-9 knots and as soon as we hoisted the gennaker the SOG  jumped over the wind speed. The boat is very stable. I'll post some pictures shortly.

With the gennaker up the sog jumps ahead of the ap wind speed

The boat has North Sails 3DL Marathon and the North Sails gennaker

Hi Pedro, just saw that u had test sailed the Hanse 630.


I am considering the Hanse 630 for a single handed circumnavigation around the globe (via thethree capes). Do you think it is a safe and stable yacht that will survive the southern ocean conditions?

Shoud it be on my short list at all ?
