Log impeller problems

   My 418 is now eight years old and I am finding it increasingly - ie very - difficult to extract the log impeller/depth sounder from its through hull "tunnel". Has anyone else experienced this problem?I have been quite assiduous in applying grease to both the impeller unit and to the blanking plug.

	Hi Peter? Have you tried cleaning both the log sensor and the housing by (mild) degreaser and use a PTFE grease spray instead? Not all plastics go well with oil base grease/vaselin. Cheers, Henk
