Hi.
Why not measure it? We have a 30m/100' tape measure onboard which cost less than £10 ($15) and it has paid for itself many times over by measuring accurately the required length of ropes etc. I would suggest you attach a downhaul to the main halyard rather than trust the tape and the end fixing. A friend used the tape to measure his mast before a trip to Holland where fixed bridges were to be encounted, he felt much better at having an 'accurate estimate'. Regards Mike |
