I need to dry out in order to fit a thru-hull transducer - will my 301 sit on her winged keel on the hard, against a wall? My concern is that the wing might be over stressed. Thanks in advance for any advice/experience

Hi, drying out against a wall and sitting on the keel is not a problem, I’ve done that on dragonfly a few times, just make sure the boat has a slight lean towards the wall, maybe tie a halyard to the wall, and put a chock under the bow to stop it tipping if someone insists on standing on the bow. Also, don’t forget that when the boat is hauled out and sitting in a cradle, most of the weight is taken by the keel, so it’s designed to take the load.
