I see that the Q on accessing the compressor has already been answered. On the 400 there is a cabinet on the left side of the oven with an opening to the compressor compartment. Here you can reach the connectors on the controller and mount the SEC. As I wrote in my old post I was not that impressed by the SEC. I was actually not impressed by the fridge at all. I made a post on the 400 section about my "small" fridge upgrade some 2 years ago. I added 50mm of extra insulation almost all around and upgraded with an Isotherm SP compressor. To overcome the issue with melting icecream or to warm fridge I designed my own controller based on an arduino and a OLED display. I now have different set temperatures for freezer and fridge (one will always get colder than the set value). What I have seen is during cold conditions a freez temp of -5 deg gives a fridge around +5 but when its warmer the freezer is below -10 to keep the fridge at 6 deg. This is inline with basic theory for thermal resistance. I also have some ice build up on the freezer (that insulate it) and I will add 2 fans and some software that runs a defrost cyckle. Overall extreemly happy with my setup. Power consumption probably half compared to before and both fridge and freezed keeps things as cold as I want.
