The most popular pub in the solent is the Folly Inn, just up river from Cowes. Very popular with sailors at weekends. Moorings are in the river directly outside. Not every agrees that it is the best pub in the solent area but probably the most popular. Music and dancing at weekends. Well know for the fact that people dance on tables after dinner.

Looks like this is turning into a one man post.
Tonights entry in the list of bars or restaurants to visit is. Hotel de France in Cameret. Any one else care to recommend places to eat and drink in the "Myhanse" world Simon |

The Triangle in Lowestoft. Brews its own beer - there were six to try when we was taken there during our recent circumnavigation. No food, but you are welcome to take in your own or a take away. Live music in a separate bar.
