Hello, has anyone studied the feasibility of integrating a retractable swim ladder for the swim platform? I’m not sure if the platform is hollow and can accommodate this type of ladder.

Thanks for your reply

I love it.  I dont know the feasibility of it, but, I would totally install that if someone else can be the test subject.  :)

Love it too! The swim ladder is one of the very few things I dislike on my 505.

I suspect it would work. We recently took the swim platform off and it was surprisingly light weight, light enough to be easily carried by two people.

I came across these ladders last year. There is a new even better version with handles folding out as well. The solution on my H 345 with pulling the ladder out in the cockpit and sliding it into the two sleeves is neither seaworthy nor safe. Is the platform hollow?

Thank you for your interest in the topic.

If the platform is lightweight, it is probably hollow and may be filled with foam. The solution might be to remove the two supports of the current ladder to check and ensure that there are no reinforcements that could interfere.

Anyone followed up on this and actually installed this or checked feasability?
