My Simrad autopilot ,shows a message "missing compass"
Could be the wires ?
Simnet?
computer?
any Ideas....

Your Autopilot is using the Compass which is sitting underneath the bed of the Portcabin! May it is not working any longer, may only the Connection of the Wiring to the SimNet is failed!?

Maybe it lost the compass.
I general reset may help aswell
If this does not work, than you should check the cables

You can also try to do a "source select" found in the menu.

Happened to me to.
Changed to a new compass and everything worked again.

You might have luck by doing a global reset and auto discover sources. Also you can try monitoring your Simnet traffic and see if there is any erratic traffic going on. If there is try disconnecting the hub to your mast and run the simnet with just the aft part of the simnet active.
