I recall that others have reported corrosion on the fixtures in the heads.  Mine are beginning to show signs and I suspect will need to be replaced with better quality faucets and sink drains.  Has anyone done this and have recommendations for, hopefully, drop-in replacement items and how to gain access to remove and replace the OEM fixtures.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave, My replacement fittings were supplied by Hanse through my dealer and fitting is straight forward.

I sent my dealer photos of the flaky chrome fittings which he passed on tho Hanse and there was no argument.

standard household tap ware will work just fine. You will find a better range of better quality fittings (chrome on brass not chrome on plastics like factory rubbish) at your local hardware store and because they sell such volume prices are much more cost effective.

I replaced mixers in galley, two heads this way and they are better quality and work just fine, after all your water system is simply a pressurised water system no different to a house on a water pump.

I would be surprised if Hanse can supply quality fixtures as their standard seems to be chrome on plastic, at least in the <43 ft range.  I went to the local chandlery and they provided very similar looking/size chrome on brass fixtures from Whale (whale also have cheap plastic ones too so you have to specify the material you want)
