Has anyone used Hempaspeed paint for the area of the hull and rudder near the rudder shaft?
I have always used Trilux33 paint in this area (and the saildrive) to avoid causing corrosion of the rudder shaft but this paint is no longer available in Canada.  Hempaspeed is another copper-free paint recommended for aluminum and apparently it can be applied on top of my existing paint so I'm wondering if anyone has tried this?
I'm told that another option for the saildrive is to apply several coats of epoxy barrier followed by the usual copper-based ablative paint.  But in the case of the rudder I can't apply an epoxy barrier to the rudder shaft and apparently the copper paint in proximity to the shaft can cause corrosion so I think I really need to find another copper-free paint.
Any advice or shared experiences are appreciated!

I applied Seajet 034 last winter. Seems to have survived the first season pretty well, I usually go 2 seasons before recoating (North Sea conditions).

Thanks for that Martijn.   It looks like I can buy that here through Amazon.  I normally scrub and repaint every spring but my boat stays in the water year-round. Does your boat stay in the water?

We usually go 2 seasons and a winter in between before coming out. We don’t use the boat nearly as much as I would like to, probably no more than 4 or 5 weekends pre/post summer and 3 weeks consecutive over summer. We have just had our first summer and part winter on this paint job after having gone back to bare gelcoat last winter. For the moment all still looks good and we can keep up during this winter’s (recreative) racing.

I’ll do an in-water scrub with a brush during the second season if I can gather up the courage.
The water rarely rises above 18-19 degrees Celsius here.

They say the best thing for keeping the hull clean is to keep moving so maybe you should consider changing from a 3 week summer sail to a 3 month summer sail - just to keep it clean!  That's part of our technique.
Our water is probably like yours, ranging from about 7C in winter to 18C in summer but there are some tidal "pockets" with nice swimming temperatures.
