Just a comment to the direct connection of the VHF station to the electrical system: I guess this is the officially (by IMO etc.) recommended way as any system inbetween (like the Wurth-panel) may fail. Looks to be overdone for a sailing yacht and a connection via the Wurthpanel would be much more handy.
And a comment about the usage of the H60 in the cockpit: With some more wind and speed it gets pretty noisy in the cockpit and for this the H60 loudspeaker is not loud enough. In addition, the battery capacity is not sufficient for a long sailing day. Therefore, I connected an external loudspeaker to the V60 station. Up to now I'm using a temporary solution: routing a cable via the locker under the BB steering wheel and placing a loudspeaker in the storage box for the lines (don't want to drill holes in my boat). Midterm I intend to add a rack for solar panels and to mount the loudspeaker under it midships. As I don't use the VHF often (I mainly follow the communication on CH 16 to hear if I'm called) this is sufficient for me and I usually don't use the H60 any longer. Frank Miraculix, Hanse 418#182 |

In addition to what said before, on last deliveries the VHF is still on permanent 12v but the splitter is not, so the VHF cannot work if the main switch is open.

Hi on Night Train one of the sources for the Fusion stereo is the VHF radio, so you can play the vhf through the saloon or cockpit speakers, using the handheld purely as a microphone when transmitting

Hi Paul,
Very interesting. Actually I considered this combination as well. But the only option I found was connecting the external speaker outlet of the V60 to the AUX inlet of the Fusion RA70. But my concern was, that the power of the external loudspeaker outlet is to strong for the AUX inlet (which is, as far as I understand, meant for a headset signal). To avoid any damage to the Fusion unit I didn't continue wiith this option. How did you connect? Frank Miraculix, Hanse 418#182

Hi Frank, the Fusion and VHF were factory installed, so came connected. I can look next time I am on the boat but my guess is there is a direct connection between the 2. Try just pressing the source button on the Fusion and see what comes up
All the best Paul
