Hello. I have recently bought a 2015 Hanse 385. It has just the 2 primary electric winches. I plan to do a bit of club racing and would like to add secondary winches to fly the gennaker. Is there any information on where I can source the bridge backing plates and how to fit it.

Thanks

https://hanse.boatoon.com/en/shop/article/23568/winch-pedestal-stainless-steel-set

The pedestal needs to be bolted into the deck.  There are alloy reinforcement plates in the deck to accommodate this.

PM me if you require details of the reinforcement location or other 385 documents.

I have noticed that these are made to order with a six month lead time!  I am sure you could get these made by a local steel fabricator, probably at much lower cost.
I wasn't racing so didn't find the need for secondary winches, but perhaps others who have fitted these could provide measurements.

Thank you very much! I'll write to them and see what they can do.
