Hello,I have an H345 and I need to run a cable from the engine compartment to the service battery area. Does anyone know where to do it? I can't find any space for it.
Thank youJesús |

Hello again,Has any of you run an electrical cable from the engine compartment to the service battery compartment?.No matter how much I search, I cannot find any communication route and due to its thick diameter I do not dare to use the cable that reaches the WP-160 as a guide.Greetings and thanks.Jesús

In this photo (a screendump) of a H370 you can see there is a plastic pipe from the control panel to under the sink. It is the same spot where you can also see the copper-pipes of hot and cold water in the photo. Those conduit pipes goes from the control panel to e.g. under the engine, the cabins and the pantry. If you use "Advanced search->all forums->any date, you can find more information. I have used these pipes a lot for different wires and cables. One annoying thing is, that the yard (after mounting the cables) someplaces has fastened the conduit pipe with a strip, thereby bending the pipe in almost 90 degrees, and thereby making it more difficult to pass a cable through. Remember a "mouse-line" when you pass a cable. (That is a thin line, pulled with the cable, so that next time your job will be easier, becaus you use the mouse-line to pull the cable). If you look at your wiring diagram, you can maybe see a cable to your refrigerator, marked as starting at the "E-panel", and ending "under galley floor". Use a mirror to find the end of the conduit pipe under the galley floor. Edited by Captain Cook - 21 September 2023 at 15:46 |

Hello Captain Cook,
Thank you very much for your answer. I will follow the water pipes that you indicate under the sink to see if I can find access, although in the engine compartment I have only seen the engine cooling water pipe from the sail drive S-130. On the other hand, please can you tell me how I can enter "Advanced search => all forums", I can't find it. Again, thank you very much and greetings. |

Just click "Search" at the top of the page and a little box opens up and then you can click "Advanced Search"
Remember to click "Any Date" in the box and either let it choose all forums or choose the model number you want, but as Hanse build boats in families, it is often worthwhile looking on other similar boat forums, eg 385, 415. (Though there are 2 yachts named 315)
