   Thanks Martin for the further explanation. Yes, I now understand the system, I still think it is a very good system and excellent protection for the batteries; safe and reassuring given you are some distance from the boat.Like Johan, my Victron charger works on the three stages of charge so protecting the batteries when left connected.
