Asymmetrical spinnaker rigging

   I am adding hardware to rig the tack line. I assume a block at the anchor roller, deck-mounted blocks bringing it back toward a winch at the helm and a clutch. Does anyone have photos or drawings of their layout? 
I also have a sock on my asymmetrical but think that I should have gone for a roller. Any thoughts?

	Very easy with a top down furler and then you wouldn’t need a tack line either

	I have commented on this topic in these threads. I just clip the tack line pulley (seen in the first photo) onto the anchor fitting. 	I had a snuffer on previous 385 and ran a short strop on the tack through a block on the anchor roller and swapped the job sheet using a soft shackle to trim it. Secured jib with sail tie before removing sheet. However I now have a Furlstrom and this (or any assymetric on a furler) is a much easier option. I find we use this sail much more now that I don't have to dance on the foredeck to manage the snuffer.

	David: here is a photo of the tack line on my H400. It is the red line in the photo and it runs back through guides on the stanchions, through a clutch on the deck then through a ratchet block attached to the base of the railing. The ratchet block works well for this application and I can often snug up the tack line by hand without putting it on the winch. It's easy to release the tack line to snuff or de-power the sail. At the bow I have a block attached to the little bowsprit thing that came with the boat. When sailing with my triradial spinnaker I put a block on the foredeck instead of the sprit and this line serves as the downhaul for the pole. Mine also comes with that lovely lady who handles the tack line when I'm hoisting or dousing the sail. Highly recommended!

	These are awesome recommendations and I am truly grateful. The lovely lady is a wonderful idea and that was the first necessity I was able to secure! I just got a quote for a code zero on a furler from Quantum (the rest of our sales are theirs as well. Already, as you read, have an A3 in a sock. I appreciate thoughts and feedback for the Quantum vs others. And any other thoughts or details about top down, bottom up and any other rigging advise. Cheers.

	Hi Like S&J I use the jib sheet for downhaul for the Genaker. The jib sheet is 1:2 with a block and it is attached to the jib with a dyneema softshackle. When it is used as downhaul I first tie a racking around the furled jib. Then untie the softshackle and tie this to small downhaul. Think it is some 3 meters long. Pros: No permanent line across the deck. 1:2 purchase when adjusting downhaul. Cons: Takes longer time than a dedicated downhaul line when switching between using Jib or Genaker in a snuffer. 	Thank you for bringing this up again. I had seen this before and it is a great idea. It certainly does keep the deck clear. As a I read more I am seeing that a code zero would be a great addition for those light days, particularly when single-handing. I have learned that for our size (the 348) a bottom up furler is fine and a 1:1 halyard should be sufficient to get reasonable tension. Does anyone know if the bobstay on the 348 is sufficient, it seems to me that it is pretty solid
