Did replace wire in jefa steering. Had parted du to heavy weather and a too strong helmsman.
2 hrs amateur work, Jefa provided wires fast at a very reasonable price . Recommend to do this before it breaks.. |

Thank you Ole, I will try with mine next weekend.
How did you access to the jefa mechanism? I'm considering to drill a hole in the bulhead to access from stern locker. Or is there an easier way? Regards

Hi!
There are 3 wires and 2 chains in the steering assembly. Which one did you changed? You changed it all? Access from aft cabins is decent. The most difficult part is to drop the 2 pedestals: the (2x) 4 bolts are not easily accessible + you have to cut the sikaflex. 4 hands help to speed up the process.
