Hi to all,

After few minutes of engine activity,  i received the "emergency stop" message and the volvo penta d3 i-110 engine stopped. It restarted afterwards as normal, and the display keeps the message "emergency stop, see operational manual".

What is annoying is that, at the same time,  I discovered that the easy connect app doesn't provide anymore fault codes,  so I don't know anything more about it.

The operator manual says "reset the emergency stop button", that apparently wasn't necessary in my case.

Did anybody experience the same problem? Ideas? Suggestions?

Addendum: i just discovered there is a way to access the fault code from the screen. If you didn't know about it,  it's double click when you are on the error code,  the menu all the way to the right. The method only works if your display shows the triangle with the exclamation mark in the main menu.

Now I know that the error is MID 128 PPID 6, that means "Capteur d'entrée pour clé à l'arrêt", literally translated as "Entry sensor for key off". I suspect now it was the rfid for the engine key that misfired.

Admittedly,  I have my phone hanging from my neck,  and it has an rfid. Could it be that the phone nfc interacted with the key sensor?

I keep you posted...

Wow Piero. That is a new one and thanks for sharing. I have the key fob for my Volvo in my nav desk but never needed it. Now I’m glad I have it around. I was told the engine will start without it but I MAY need it someday!  That made me a bit nervous about that Volvo computer. Are you in possession of yours ??

Yes I have my rfid fob with me.. but i never used it myself!

FYI Switching off the engine,  the  error message disappeared...

However, I didn't like AT ALL the engine switching off just outside the harbour, luckily the situation wasn't critical and I could restart it within seconds,  but I was already in WTF mode!

Just for the records: after 50 hours of running the engine it didn't happen again...i do suspect interaction with my hanging phone NFC...
