Hi All
My starboard electric cockpit table operates correctly My port table has power to it but it will move 2cm up or 2cm down and then shut off! Use the switch again it will move up or down 2cm and then shut off again Any ideas? Is there a Barka controller for each table? I have found one under the panel next to the captains chair next to the thruster chargers which I have swapped out with a spare and there is no problem. Is there another for the port side and if so where is it. Cheers to all Duncan

Duncan,
We have two controllers, one for each cockpit table. Both units on our boat at in the the stbd void beside the dinghy garage. Happy hunting.

Good day Duncan
I've had many issues with the tables.......lifting or lowering intermittently. We never needed to change controller(although we bought 2 from Barka).Problem has always been contacts at the motors on table.A good cleaning and brushing of contacts resolved our problems. We have also found that if house batteries are low, tables did not perform well. Marc

In 11 years I had to change about 7 tables motors.
Always the same problem : water in the motor ! I tried different mods to ease the water discharge from inside the tables legs to the garage. but no great results. I spoke several times with Barka about this issue but they were not helping much (a part from selling new motors). Last time they also forced me to buy new controllers because it seems and they say the last motors needed these new controllers. Kept the new controllers aboard but not needed to install them. (never had any issue with the controllers). In the end I think the best solution would be to get rid of Barka legs and install different brand. May be simpler manual gas piston legs, no electrical part outside in wet salt water zone ! |
