On my 2007 Hanse 400e a minor irritation has been that the saloon table will not go down to the level of the saloon seats. This meant that this space couldn't be used as a double bed and indeed as a single bed the table made for a hard ridge and restricted the size of the Starboard saloon berth. The problem was the pedestal was a 2 Piece telescopic fitting with restricted ability to be lowered. I sourced and eventually found a 3-stage fitting made by Zwaardvis in Denmark. The cost was some 630 euros so not exactly inexpensive , though I hope to sell the old one on ebay!  The pedestal is very substantial with a larger base plate. I managed to get 4 fixings to the saloon floor with M6 bolts and penny washers and 2 fixings with standard self tapping screws. The table is now much more rigid and the table lowers to the bench height. The 2 cushions in the middle section of the starboard bench then cover the table to make a very comfortable double bed.
The table doesnt quite fill the gap so I might make a saloon table that fills the space. Has anyone replaced their saloon table?

Hi Craig

http://www.poertner-zwaardvis.de/rv/en/products/adjustableheight-table-bed/37710.php

This is the link to the table leg I chose, the first on the list 305 minimum height.  Its has a gas mechanism so raising and lowering is a 'piece of cake' as they say.  Rgds Alan

Hi

We managed to find a cheaper version on e-bay for £99, quite basic but looks like it is going to do the job.

Telescopic Table Pedestal / Mount- Boat - Marine - Motorhome - Height Adjustable

Hi

I have fitted the pedestal and it does drop down far enough to make a level bed.
We have had two cushions made up that can be used to complete the bed and used as cockpit cushions.

The pedestal does not have a large top plat and is not as stable as the original.

Cheers Neil
