In my boat the gally is places on a GPR inner frame.
Between the frame and the gally there are some small peaces of wood to fill out some space.
In my holiday I hade a rough ride upwind on the north sea between Lauwersoog and Vlieland with 7-8 Bft and some off the small peaces off wood came out; I found those on the floor off my boat.
Did this happen on more 370 or 400?
What solution did you take afterwards to mount the gally on the GPR frame again?
I think a will use a epoxy flex filler from De IJssel ( a much used brand Epoxy in Holland) , but I do not know if I have to fill all the space between gally and GPR frame.
Does anyone have som sugestions?
Info will be welkom.
greetings Marcel

I think we were in the same sea as you, sailing Cuxhaven to Harwich.
The North German, Holland coast is not a good place to sail in a force 8, the waves have no backs on them and come from 3 different directions. We have sailed over 20000 miles in Gertha and last week was the most bouncy. I have several small pieces of ply that we have never seen before, I hope they are spacers from manufacturing. As always my boat appears less damaged than her crew. Simon |

Hi. Last year, after some rough weather, I also found some small plywood pieces scattered around. Unlike some of you, I know exactly where they came from.
When the boat was new, I complained to the dealer about bad fitting, a gap of a few cm. between the galley and the settees. This was appearantly fixed by inserting a few loose pieces of plywood under the front part of the settee to change the angle. It looked allright at first, but

I've been in some pretty rough seas around Portland and the other races along the Jurassic coast and not had any problems with finding bits of wood or anything else. Maybe I'm just lucky with everything except my Jefa a autopilot motor
