Hi, you mentioned that you had experience of this. I cannot get the horizintal creases out of the jib and have tried tensioning the halyard but then find it's too tight to furl. There seems to be some halyard remaining at the top (see pic). I had proposed to shorten the luff over the winter, have you any other thoughts?

Hi Philip,
sorry not much more that i can add to that. What i would say though is that as you get nearer the point the halyard exits the mast the angle will result in less tension on the luff for the extra tension you add. We reduced the length of the luff of the main, not the jib as the headboard was impacting the crane. But on the head sail we've generally been able to adjust the creases out as necessary. Many thanks for your reply. I agree with your comment on the angle of pull on the head. I'll see what i can do over the winter and try again in the spring.
