Everybody, this is Ella - Ella, this is everybody
  Ella is a very well kept Hanse 315 fra 2007, hull#640. I co-own the boat with my 81 year old dad, and we are sooo looking forward to getting to know the boat. We are sailing mostly in danish waters with the occasional visit to Sweden or Germany. The happy owners after seeing Ella the first time:  |

Congratulations! Great looking boat! Is this a current photo? Must be pretty cold in the Baltic now.
I look forward to hearing more about your adventures. I spent 3+ years based at Greifswald and really enjoyed my time in the Baltic, but this year I have headed to warmer waters with my new boat.

I got as far as Sardinia this summer. Slightly more complicated due to Brexit Schengen limits. Next year Sicily, Croatia and Greece. No firm plans beyond that. Home is Perth, WA but I haven't been able to get there since Covid. I upgraded to the 458 thinking I might sail there, but I bought my 385 to get to the Med and then stayed in the Baltic over 3 years, so anything might happen. I live aboard 5 months of the year. [Sorry to hijack your post Ella!]

Sorry, S&J, didn't see you answer.
Yes, the photo was recent. The buying process was quite a "quickie" :-) It is quite cold here ... Negotiated the price over phone. The price was premium but the boat claimed to be in very good condition, went and saw the boat and Ella really is in a great state. Very little worn anywhere. Engine only has about 550 hrs and everything looks as new. New instruments, new Elvstrøm sails - oh, maaan, I never looked so much forward to springtime :-) We took off from her former harbour and sailed during night time the last saturday in November, left harbour at 22:45. We had very little wind, mostly headwind, and about 2-4 deg C, and rainy weather so it was motor all the way. The trip about 100 Nm. It was freezing cold and pitchdark, but Ella did great. No problem, hijack away:-) Thank you very much, Black Diamond! It is very good times. |
