Hi Samuel

Thanks for the advice, we have a 3 blade version and a 30hp yanmar, I think it is much improved from older autoprops, was given a good test report from Yachting monthly, so all we can do is wait and see.....Might hang on to the flexofold just in case.....

The Brunton Three Blade Autoprop had better work better than the two blade Flexoprop or else Lieutenant Commander or not, Trist33 is going back on the streets!

We had a 3 blade autoprop on our old boat.  It was awesome.  I highly recommend it.  Buying a prop is extremely difficult.  The right prop depends on your needs.  Your choice, what ever it is will be a compromise in the end.  Take a look at the three links below and then decide.  Keeping your old prop is not a bad idea.  A spare makes sense.

Consider what you will use the boat for.  If it is racing then focus on less drag.  If it is cruising then focus on performance.  The test done by YM is a good place to start.  Finally, focus on quality and cost.

Good luck with it.
