You may have noticed that the windlass is wired to a separate battery. I think this 3rd battery is also be dedicated to a bowtruster if you take this option (that I imagine few people take).

I would like to change this wiring and connect the windlass to the engine battery, as the engine must always be running when the windlass is in use. The target is to link the 3rd battery to the 2 other ones used for equipements in order to get more capacity for these.

Have you made this modification also?  I believe that I have to change the connections of the batteries separator and disconnect the 3rd wire out of the battery charger.

Any comments?

Hi Alan,

Don't worry I will post the matter in english!! I am busy redrawing the French schemes!!
I wrote to Meaban:

I have a 2KW Mastervolt converter installed. I added a fourth battery to the three supplied on Uhambo for an overall 440 Ah capacity and I connected the windlass to the services battery bank

I also made some modification I will explained in a dedicated document

Cheers

Alain

On a related note since you are talking batteries. I purchased the halyard winch and extra battery (3 house, 1 starter) when I purchased my 370. I am now adding a Vetus Anchor Windless and Vetus Bowthruster. The Vetus distributor indicates I need 330 Amps instantanious current draw (110 Amp dry cell) to support this. He is recommending an additional 110 amp dry cell in the bow to support this option. Does anyone know how Hanse wires an additional windless and thruster? Do they use an extra battery (for a total of 5)? Any other suggestions from others that have added these options?

I also want to use the winchbattery as a third consumer battery, can anyone tell me how to do. Is it just to cannect a batterycable between + att the consumerbats and the winchbat? Must you disconnect anything from the batterycharger?
Most grateful for all advices

If it is the same as mine (hull #35) then you just connect the two batts with thick cable on the positive side.  The charging all takes care of itself since all batteries link together under charge anyway due to the relay.  I suggest you get someone who knows to look at your layout in case it differs.
