I'm thinking of fitting an additional grab rail parallel to the front of the cooker on my H345 and just thought if anyone had done similar.
Specifically for use to hold on to but also potentially fit a strap on a ring whilst cooking at sea. I'm thinking of looking out for a decent quality stainless steel rail from say a bathroom shop. I will need to screw the ends into the front of the worktop. What's the experience of drilling into this stuff? Also what's the opinion on using a standard bathroom grab rail rather than getting something bespoke. Thoughts welcomed.

Hi Monty, I don't think that a bathroom rail is strong enough for the dynamic loads. Why don't you ask a canvas shop to make you one out of solid 30 mm stainless ?
