Hi. After some additional troubleshooting of my house batteries, or looks like They are dead.   Does anyone know the battery group number of our house batteries?

I have 4x 165ah AGM for my house batteries.

Thanks,
-Chris

Hi Chris
If I was you I would change batterie type,I've changed mine to 6volt deep cycle wired in series to get back to 12 volts.
The brand I used was U S Battery I had to modify the battery box though, they have been excellent .

After a bit of searching, I have found a direct replacement. Victron energy makes a 4d battery that is able to use the same copper bars for linking the batteries.   The terminals are copper blades and not the lead posts seen on most batteries. I purchased through jamestown distributors. They are 165 amp hour each.   I have the extended set of 4 x165 for 660 amp hours total.    This was a straight drop in replacement.

I hope I'm stating the obvious but is your new set AGM also? If not, you likely need to change the setting on the battery charger. In fact, it's probably a good idea to double check what the charger is set to.

Hi,

The replacement set was a direct drop-in with AGM batteries.
part number is VIC-BAT412151080 .  I did specify that I was looking for the blade style vs. the posts for terminals.
