Hey!

Any dealers or others in the know who could help us figure out what exactly is the color of the Hanse 418 in the HanseYachts demo pictures?

I've assumed it's wrapped, not painted? Is this correct?

We're looking at 3M, Oracal and Avery wrapping colors but it would be really helpful if someone could figure out exactly what they used?

Without being a member of the commissioning team of that particular boat, my best guess would be Alexseal Paint, which is another option that has been offered by dealers in addition to the standard factory gelcoat color options.

There is a pdf you can download with RGB color values for color matching.

Unsolicited advice: It may be prudent to fine-tune all drivers docking skills on the new yacht before applying paint to the hull. *Scratch repairs can be difficult to perfectly color-match and blend on colored hulls.

Thank you!

If that's actually painted and not wrapped then we'll have a hard time finding that exact color. We decided long ago not to paint it (cost among other reasons), so if that's really paint then we'll have to settle for some other colour.

This seems to be the same boat in Southampton last year: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1479882965428304

That's a nice color indeed. Suits this model so nicely. You can probably get a really close match if someone with a really keen eye for colors sees this photo.

Yes, someone with a good eye for style selected that colour Big smile

And good news! The dealer network came through (thank you!)

For wrapping it:

- oracal 922 (the golden colour)
- oracal white 010 (the white stripes)

Alternatively, for painting:

Camel Beige Alexseal T1151 (the golden colour)
- Snow white Alexseal T9134 (the white)

I have a 3M swatch book handy...I'm looking at 3M Wrap Film 1080-G241 Gloss Gold Metallic - do a Google image search for lots of application examples. Looks close, catches the sunlight nicely.

True! That would be that extra push over the cliff, the speakers that go to eleven!

(^ Spinal Tap reference over there, for all who think I've lost it.)
