I am revisiting the fitting of grab rails. I had wanted to fit them when we first got our 345 but was wary when I noticed the dealer fitted grab rails on another boat as in the photograph below. There are quite a few earlier posts on grab rails but I wondered if anyone has further comments. Are you happy with your grab rails? Are they useful? Are they easy to fit? Also, anyone used the Hayling Island supplier who posted on this forum a few months ago?
Any advice would be very welcome.

Inspiration Marine fitted them to my 345 from new and I'm very happy with them.  I don't think my wife would be happy standing behind the wheels without the security of the grab rails.  I've also found it useful to mount a teak cup holder and H50 cradle in front of the starboard wheel.  Sorry no pictures available at the moment, but will post some following my next visit.  Let's hope we can cruise soon.

Regards

Paul

Thanks for the replies and the comments, really helpful. I am certainly convinced of the benefits of grab rails. It looks as though there are two designs, will give some thought now as to which of these to go for.

Here is the promised photo of the starboard rail with cup and H50 cradle add-on.
